Kolby has been helping his Stepdad, Mark Kelly and Stepbrother, Marcus Kelly for many years while they race and work on their Super Stock racecars. He descided to give racing a shot for himself. The summer of 2013 he spent turning laps around the BCS track to get the seat time he needed to be ready for the 2014 season. He would drive until his arms got tired and then come in to rest, get a drink and then back at it. His first race was in Gering, NE for thier Shootout in September 2013 where he timed in 5th out of 11 cars putting him in his frist ever Trophy Dash. He placed 6th. He finished 9th in the Heat Race and went on to finish the Main in 8th. His goal for the night was to pass 1 car, and that he did! He is looking forward to his Rookie year in the Warrior class at Big Country Speedway in 2014.
